Aims and Objectives

This aim of the AMC is achieved through the following objectives:

  • Creation and innovation of indigenous farming tools suitable to Bhutanese farms.
  • Promotion of improved agriculture technology in the country.
  • Effective and efficient distribution of agriculture equipments to the farmers.
  • Capacity development of the farmers in the use of improved technology and farming practices.
  • Act as the regulatory body of quality and Safety.

 

 

Announcement

Agriculture Machinery Training Centre is conducting training on operation and maintenance of Tractor and Power tiller training with effect from 1st March 2012. Therefore, it is inform to all the machines users and operators to report on 1st March 2012 with the following documents.

i. Machineries purchase document

ii. Medical fitness

iii. Security clearance

iv. Citizenship Identity card copy

v. Recommendation letter from Geog or Dzongkhag.

Announcement

To strengthen the technical capacity of the private sector, for taking up farm mechanization services. The Agriculture Machinery Center, AMC, will be conducting 2 months training on
 In Country Manufacturing Technology for private manufacturer workshop in and around the country from 1st March 2012. Therefore, interested candidate may apply to ADM section AMC, on or before 25th February 2012 with the following documents.

i. Nomination letter from the workshop owners.

ii. Medical fitness

iii. Security clearance

iv. Citizenship Identity card copy.

v. Academic Certificate (minimum of class 8 passed) 

Preference will be given to VTI pass out presently employed with workshop. Selection interview will be held at AMC conference hall at 10.00 am on 28th February 2012.

Meeting on half yearly work progress

The Agriculture Machinery Centre’s Mid Term Review meeting on half yearly work progress of 1st July to 30th December, 2011, next six months work plan, Budgeting and work plan for fiscal year 2012-2013 was held at Regional Agriculture Machinery Centre (RAMC) Samteling, Gelephu from 19th January to 21st January 2012, Coordinated by Administrative section and RAMC Samteling, Gelephu. The Half yearly meeting was held in RAMC, samteling Gelephu to give vitality for the meeting and to utilize the facilities and available resources. The first day was chaired by Programme Director, AMC and all sections managers, and regional managers attended the sessions. The 2nd day began with the work progress presentation by each section. The section presented the major achievements in their section. Third day began with technical presentation by sections staff and the research paper presentations by Gedu college students and also discussed on budget proposal basically looking at capital activities.
