The first batch of 15 students from TTI Chumey joined AMC , Paro from December 4, 2017 for the farm machinery mechanic course for a duration of three months under the newly developed  programme. They will be trained in the operation of power tiller, repair of power tiller and engines and also in the fabrication of simple farm machinery equipments during the OJT period. It is a flagship programme of AMC to impart them the skills and knowledge required for the technical back stopping of farm mechanization programme. The trainees shall also be introduced to different loans schemes available by inviting officials from different banking institutions. They shall be supported and encourage to setup farm mechanization workshops in their localities to support farm mechanization by setting up hiring and repair units. This shall greatly support the end users especially farmers in timely repair and services. Again 15 students from Kuruthang shall also join for the same programme. It shall be a routine programme yearly.

Also sixteen farmers from Chukha and Samtse also joined the power tiller and post harvest training in AMC , Paro from December 4 for a period of 15 days. It is a collaborative programme with financial support from Department of Agricultural Marketing.
